Just before my vacation, my computer blue screened and then came back, with no evidence of my ever being there! I could find my files in one of my back up programs, so I know there's a possibility of resurection.
My computer guy was able to copy my files and reload them under a new user. He did some checkdisk things and thought maybe my hard drive was on the fritz, but things seem to be working ok, for now.
Can I recover my old Microsoft Outlook files? I have email history and folders, some of which I really want back. I think they may be hidden somewhere in my saved files.
If anyone knows where I should look, that would be very helpful.

Oh, my...just as I was reading this my screen went white, as it is doing more often.
I would check with my email host, (yourname)@____________.com. For instance if you have an AOL account call AOL. You might have to re-attach your account to Outlook, but at least you would have your emails back.
Hopefully someone will tell you a way you can do this in Outlook which will make it easier. You might also ask Tech Savvy Agent, who has an account on here as well as Facebook.
Thanks Lynda, I know this stuff is in here somewhere!
For me outlook is quite important tool. And once something happened with my outlook emails, as has turned out all my emails had been lost. For luck I appealed to Google and discovered there - recover outlook files. It solved out all my issues for minutes and completely rapidly.
