I like to compare apples to apples once in awhile, just to focus on the path of one particular type of home, the most popular type of home: 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a double garage. If you look at the chart below, updated just today, you can see a very interesting trend for most of Yellowstone County home sales. We seem to be steady as she goes.

Oh I hope you also notice a very curious dip in home sale prices for ALL home sales, the period of 2009, and then you probably notice an increase here as well! Did you miss your chance?
I don’t think so, keep this other “not so nice” number in your mind; only 42.2% of homes for sale have sold so far this year! That’s a pretty significant decline for our market, which usually hoovers closer to 52-56%.
