If I Live In Montana, Do I Have To Own A Pickup Truck?
Great question from one of my phone calls last week.
Well, in a short answer NO, but it helps! 
If you don’t own a pickup truck, it helps to know someone who does, and everybody knows someone who owns a pickup truck, even if you’re only here for 5 minutes.
Has your husband ever made a home buying choice based on whether or not his pickup will fit in the garage? This happened to me 3 times. We actually had to try it out before we purchased, cause if you can’t walk around the pickup when it’s parked in the garage, the house is no good.
Why do builders build “oversized” garages? Simple, so that their pickups will fit. Oh and don’t forget all the “stuff” you need when you have a pickup. What kind of stuff? Don’t get me started! Just call the garage one big giant tool box, oh, did I mean toy box? You know what I’m talking about!
Of course it helps if you have extra space to store all the things you can carry or tow with a pickup truck. Maybe you just pull these things up alongside your oversized garage, or maybe you need land so you can build an even bigger toy box. Like say a 30’ x 50’ toy (oh, I meant tool) box.
The price of gas and diesel hasn’t stopped the true Montanan from enjoying their pickup ride. I’ve taken an informal survey, and when I’m driving my little SUV and I get passed on the highway or interstate, 50% of the time it’s by a pickup truck. Don’t believe me? Try it!
