Freedom, freedom, freedom, oh ya, taxes are done and it's not even April 15th!

My gut's been just aching, why don't I do this sooner?  Why must I torture myself right up until the last possible moment?  Could I be in a unique, but popular group of procrastinators?  Is there an active rain group for this?shake the tax out of me

Yes I pay, and pay, but thank goodness I am paying because I had some income.  I've been watching my expenses, very closely and I've come to the conclusion that I am a thrifty person!  I do have fellow Realtors who are really struggling with income/taxes right now.  I must say that I was not expecting to have such a quiet winter, thank goodness I didn't spend my reserves thinking I'd have a bunch more!

Now I'm afraid to spend much on any thing!  Here goes the struggling economy picture, won't get better unless more people spend, yet frugal people are probably in the strongest economic position right now!

I'm looking for balance, and the future looks a bit better than it did 6 months ago as well.  Maybe if we just take it a bit easy and not get too caught up in any kind of "if it looks too good, it probably is" schemes, we'll all be ok.  I have noticed a lot of commercials for "knock your tax burden from $125,000 down to $3,500 by calling us when you're in trouble".  I think that may look just a bit too good to be true, but I know a few people who are "banking" on this getting them out of a big debt situation.  Very sad!

sweating the big stuffI wonder if I'll ever change and actually have all of my tax info so ready at tax time that I just plug in the numbers and get on with it?  Probably not, but then again, it could happen, I'm not dead yet!
